The Czech company BusLine uses POS-terminals of Terminal Technologies Group as validators for automatic fare collection in buses. The validator is based on VENDOTEK POS-terminal and provides contactless payments using Bank cards.
The project was jointly implemented by MasterCard, BusLine and Bank ČSOB.
BusLine is one of the largest transport companies in the Czech Republic. Today, payment by Bank card is available on 10 public transport routes within the city of litomerzyce. Also, the new service will be available on intercity routes Prague — Harrachov, Liberec — Hradec králové — Brno, Jablonec nad Nisou — Prague and Prague — litoměřice. About 70 buses are equipped with VALITEK validators with the Bank card payment function.
